We have been with MediVet Southfields since March 2012 and to say they are exceptional is an understatement. The care and time they have taken to look after our two Polish Lowland Sheepdogs is wonderful. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our youngest two days before her 10th birthday in June 2024. Rui and Andrea are beyond special with their compassion and thoughtfulness and we cannot thank them enough for everything they have done, both for Zosia who adored them and for us at a really sad time. The care and kindness they have given to us and still do as we navigate things in a much quieter house with just our older and now blind dog who also loves Rui and Andrea and pulls us into the vets when we walk past (somehow she always knows exactly where we are so she can have a fuss from the team) is amazing. The fact that there is a whole network of practices and vet hospitals within the group has been really helpful over the years with our dogs when we have needed a vet when not in our local area. The specialist expertise too within the company (orthopaedics, cancer etc) is second to none. Our dogs have regularly travelled extensively throughout Europe all their lives and no vets (which we have to see for the passport to be stamped - luckily we have a EU pet passports so are not stuck with having to use the extremely expensive, administratively bureaucratic, short time-limited thing the UK now has after Brexit) have gone anywhere near the mark that Rui and his team at MediVet Southfields have.

Staff are caring and attentive. They offer clear and detailed advice explaining the reasons and exploring all options. We have experienced the full range - from first check up to 17 years later, end of life. They were with us the whole way through this journey, compassionate and understanding, even taking cost planning into consideration.

Although Medivet Southfields were not our registered vet, I brought my dog in hoping for an urgent consult as she was suddenly clearly in a lot of pain and our own vet did not have an appointment for several hours. We were registered and seen to incredibly quickly by very caring and understanding staff. They found the cause of the pain and resolved our issue. I couldn’t be more grateful for what they did for us today and will opt to choose them in the future as our regular vet.

I have a cat and I had a dog. I use Medivet Southfiels since the first day I had them, it's have been more than 14 years , they are amazing and I strongly recommended! Dr Rui It's an amazing person,always ready to help when I have my pet's sick, no matter if it's day or night, week or weekend , he always there for them. Now I lost my dog this year with 14 years and 5 months old. She was very sick and have no patience when she went to the vet, but doctor Rui make her visit less stress with his all kindness with her. I have all the support I ever imagined in her last few days of life. I don't have word's to thank all the staff at Medivet Southfiels. They take care of my pet's like they little children. They also make me feel like family.I give Medivet Southfiels staff and Dr Rui 5 super golden stars because they are the best of the best ! Thank you Medivet Southfiels for all the hard work through my hard time and always been there when I need it. You went above all my expectations when I lost my baby! Thank you very much!! 😻

Similar to the other recent review, I was shocked at the level of price-gouging from Medivet. We were charged £47.41 for *one* spot-on Bravecto flea treatment for cats, which can be purchased from multiple sources online for £15-20. As this was my first visit, I naively assumed that Medivet would charge fairly & ethically, and thus did not ask about the price when the treatment was offered by the vet. The price was not stated upfront when the treatment was offered, and I only saw this after asking for an invoice (which was only sent & received after I had left the clinic). I would not have opted for the treatment had the price been communicated clearly beforehand. That said, the vet we saw was great and personable.

My experience with Medi vet Putney was absolutely amazing. My precious staffy Kiki was really unwell after a very traumatic experience. The team are extremely professional empathetic and informative and my dog has responded to treatment faster than I could have imagined. Just blown over and so glad I chose MediVet to take care of Kiki. ❤️🐕❤️

We discovered we were paying 180% more for a regular treatment for our vet compared to another local vet. Please make sure you shop around for pricing at other vets. We were so shocked at the price gouging. I understand a mark up on the costs but it's insane that our new vet is 180% cheaper for the exact same drug. I liked the people at this vet but they knew we were paying out of pocket and we feel so betrayed.
