Medivet Epsom Ashley Rd

Was seen almost immediately. Love the cat friendly shelving to keep baskets away from dogs. Vet was very caring and explained things clearly. Parking is always possible here though getting out again can be a challenge!

Been taking my dog here for 16 years. Now that Simon,Clare,Issy, and Zac have left and it has become Medivet it has gone completely downhill. There is no compassion anymore and it is all about charging more money. The new staff have a terrible hostile attitude and unfortunately we have made the decision to leave the vets now as they are just not providing the care or communication that my senior dog needs. I would no longer recommend. Such a shame as the previous staff were all amazing and I thank them for everything they’ve done.

We’ve been coming to Winton lodge for years now and have always been happy with their services until recently. To keep this review brief, I found my dog in a critical state and when I called in tears I was told they were fully booked. There have been numerous times I’ve been in the waiting room and been told my appointment will be delayed due to an emergency which I have always been happy to accommodate. My dog was not given that same treatment and I was told to “call somewhere else”. We did find another MediVet who told us “how could your local vet not make room for him, he is not in a fit state to travel.” My dog ended up needing emergency surgery and is still in critical condition. Winton lodge made the wrong call and it almost cost my dog’s life. They are great for average appointments but when it really matters, they failed. Given my dogs recent medical history and the fact he had been referred to a specialist weeks ago you’d think they might understand this was a genuine emergency. The staff here have always been so friendly and I’ve genuinely loved this practice and recommended it to many friends, which is why I am so surprised and disappointed in how they treated us. I feel bad posting a negative review here but I cannot forgive this oversight on their part. Take your pet somewhere where they don’t tell you to “call somewhere else”.

Since this practice has become Medivet we never see the same Vet, every visit there is different staff The current head Vet is rude, unhelpful with a poor attitude After many years as a client we have just left and will move to a new Vet practice elsewhere

Excellent : Staff Great /very friendly and helpful. Vet excellent, knowledgeable . Sorted out my elderly dogs health problem very quickly . I’m very happy

Told my client to go home, because he had eaten that morning, with a grass seed in the dogs ear, give him pain killers, and to come back 2 days later. I phoned the 24hr vet on behalf of my client and luckily got him in the next morning where they removed an inch long grass seed that had perforated his ear drum. If that wasn't bad enough, they are refusing to respond to mine and my clients emails from over a week ago despite addressing them to the head vet!!!

At present only locum vets and I wasn't very happy with the health check on my cat- not very thorough. However I'm told a permanent vet should be in place around July. Very little choice around Ashtead/Epsom as all independent vets are now Medivet.
